Our Mission

Perspective Adventures strives to provide students with rewarding educational adventure travel programs, which foster personal growth, build confidence and challenge participants and to bring out the best versions of themselves.

Our Perspective

Perspective Adventures is an educational adventure experience for teens where students explore our world, while learning to treasure and protect it.

We believe that the outdoors is the ideal setting for learning who we are as leaders, team members, friends, and people. We flourish when distractions are limited to night skies, sunsets, new friends, good conversation, island backdrops, and fresh air. We show our students that profound growth comes when you are working for something bigger than yourself.

Perspective provides adventures where students are challenged to get outside, unplug, look around, leave their comfort zones, and are delighted with who they reveal themselves to be.

Our Team

For over two decades the Perspective team has crafted transformational learning adventures.  Whether you are a teacher hoping to actively engage in critical global issues, a parent or student looking for a well structured journey of learning and personal growth, or a university or group seeking a partner to run your own custom programs… you’ve come to the right place.

Director, Craig Fahey

Craig brings the experience of two decades planning, facilitating and managing educational travel experiences for high school and university students around the world. Growing up on the Otago Peninsula and later Wanaka. Craig roots are firmly in the south. The appeal of exploration took craig around the world and his experience as a competitive sailor and coach led him to the US where he began working as a water sports instructor in an outdoor adventure camp. It was here that Craig realised that he had a natural way of bringing out the best in students through experiential learning in the outdoors. This ignited a belief in the positive benefits of educational travel to students and a passion that drives Perspective adventures today.

As an owner/director of Global Works Travel, a successful and well regarded student travel company based in Boulder, Colorado from 2000-2013, Craig was responsible for all aspects of programme planning, risk management, leader training and programme oversight. During this time the company led student travel programmes to over 20 differ countries annually, and worked alongside some of the most prestigious schools and universities in the US.
After choosing to return home to New Zealand in 2013, Craig started Perspective NZ and has continued to facilitate educational travel experiences in New Zealand and Fiji for students, schools and educational travel companies.
Craig has extensive experience with outdoor leadership, risk management and water safety. Craig holds pre-hospital emergency care first responder qualifications, and is a trained and certified Maritime New Zealand Commercial Skipper.
